VINTAGE VEGAS TAKES OVER HOTEL DUVAL TO BENEFIT THE LEON COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY
Hotel Duval, the first and only boutique hotel in Tallahassee, hosts Vintage Vegas, a 60’s style soiree to benefit the Leon County Humane Society. On Friday, June 15, 8 p.m. – 1 a.m., gamblers try their best hand as Hotel Duval transforms into the casinos of a Las Vegas era gone by.
Guests of the event mingle with celebrity look-a-likes from Marilyn Monroe to the Rat Pack while enjoying cigar server’s offerings and hearing the sweet sounds of jazz band, Zach Bartholomew Trio. Fishnet-adorned cocktail waitresses present signature drinks and old fashion hors d’oeuvres as the ballroom is filled with poker, roulette and blackjack and entertainment.
The Leon County Humane Society is Tallahassee’s largest no kill, non-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to saving the area’s homeless pets. By educating the community about responsible pet ownership and reducing pet overpopulation, the Leon County Humane Society offers programs like Spay/Neuter, Rescue Ride and Friends Fur Life which promote working together to reduce the homeless pet population in Tallahassee.
High rollers try their luck to win a one year lease on a new luxury vehicle or a trip to Las Vegas. Hotel Duval will provide airfare and accommodations at the new Cosmopolitan, another Autograph Collection Hotel, for the winner and a guest. Attendees enjoy sumptuous fare, drinks and of course, casino chips for $150 per person.
Home to Shula’s 347 Grill, a sports-style steakhouse offering “The Best Beef that Money Can Buy,” flows seamlessly with the vibe and décor of the property. Hotel Duval’s signature restaurant presents options of gourmet salads, fresh fish and exclusive Premium Black Angus Beef Burgers and Shula Cut Steaks. Hosting a street-level café, LeRoc, which features Starbucks coffee and locally grown and sourced food is open for breakfast and lunch. Level 8 is the only rooftop lounge of its kind from Atlanta to South Beach. Comprising both open-air and indoor elements, Level 8 of Hotel Duval showcases panoramic views of the capital city with live entertainment.
With 117 rooms and suites, all offering experiences that heighten each one of the five senses, Hotel Duval is adorned in European boutique décor with an artistic ambiance. The hotel ornament is contemporary, yet comfortable providing down-to-earth atmosphere with a contrasting backdrop of the historic landmark. Each floor at Hotel Duval has a unique personality with associated color therapy and aromatherapy. Guests may select what floor they prefer to reflect their mood and purpose of stay by the color and scent options. With distinctive design, amenities and approachable luxury, Hotel Duval brings vibrant energy to Florida’s capital.
