Hotel Duval is proud to announce that Brett Kolmetz has been named the new Director of Sales. In this role, Kolmetz will be responsible for directing all sales-related activities for the property, maximizing and enhancing room revenues to meet and exceed the hotel’s revenue and house profit objectives. He will also serve as a liaison between Hotel Duval and the community by developing and maintaining positive relationships with local businesses.

Brett Kolmetz is in his 16th year of hospitality. Brett started his career at Universal Orlando Resort where he spent over seven years managing and selling large events at Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and CityWalk. His tenure at Universal Orlando took him to Los Angeles for nearly 3 years where he sold exclusive events featuring Wolfgang Puck catering at Universal Studios Hollywood. In 2009, Brett jumped into the hotel business as catering manager, group sales manager, senior sales manager for the Renaissance Boca Raton, Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress and, most recently, the Hilton University of Florida Conference Center in Gainesville.
Brett is not only a Florida native, but has been a fixture in Tallahassee networking at monthly events including Tallahassee Society of Association Executives (TSAE), Society of Government Meeting Professionals (SGMP), and numerous industry events. He has held several executive board positions of the Society of Government Meeting Professionals, International Special Events Society and numerous committee level posts.
Brett studied History and Humanities at Florida State University, and is an avid Seminoles fan.
